The Dog Days of Summer

It's been a hot summer with warmer than average temperatures predicted through the end of September.  Here are 5 foods that will help cool you.

     Cucumber - Cool as a cucumber! Cucumber
     helps to clear heat and quench thirst.
     Soaked in vinegar, it will also help with digestive
     problems.

     Celery - In season through November, celery
     clears heat and calms the liver.

     Radish - Radishes are fat burners, but they also
     help promote digestion and fight colds, while
     having a cooling effect on the body.

     Tomato - Tis the season! Tomatoes are in
     abundance right now and help to cool the body.

     Watermelon - Watermelons are hydrating,
     helping to relieve thirst. And nothing is as
     good as a fresh, cold watermelon!
